It was during his childhood, spent in Alijó – district of Vila Real, that Chef Rui Paula acquires a taste for cuisine, heavily influenced by his maternal grandmother and her cuisine based on ancestral recipes and local products. Self-taught, Chef Rui Paula began a career characterized by the reinvention of regional culinary tradition.
